Medical Social Workers (MSW) have a very important role in the clients' lives on the road to recovery. They are the emotional pillars for the clients. They asses social and emotional elements of their clients affected by illness or injury.

They link clients with community resources, and they provide counseling services for them. They become the sympathetic ears for the clients and listen to their worries and concerns.
